    INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

Yoga is a simple process of reversing the ordinary outward flow of energy and consciousness, so that the mind becomes a dynamic center of direct perception, no longer dependent upon the weak human senses, but capable of actually experiencing truth.

The Credence fraternity feels proud to say that the International Yoga Day was celebrated in school on 21st June, with beautiful performance by our girls on the stage. The importance and need of yoga was also explained to the teachers and children. All the students and the teachers did meditation, which was a journey to tranquility.

The word yoga itself means union of the individual consciousness or soul with the universal consciousness or spirit. Though many people think of yoga only as physical exercises, it is far beyond that. It is a profound science of unfolding the infinite potentials of the human mind and soul. Children realized the need of the same in this busy world. Our CEO-Principal, Mrs Deepika Thapar Singh spoke about the importance of making yoga an art of living by looking within ourselves, realizing what we are and keeping one mentally healthy.

The Holy Quran is Allah’s message to human beings. In the Quran Allah talks to us, and tells us how to live our lives, so that we are successful in this world as well as hereafter. The Quran is the most important Book for a Muslim. The holy Prophet(s) says, the best remembrance is the [recitation of] Quran. He also says the best of speech is the Book of Allah. A believer should try to spend some time each day reciting the Quran, and understanding the message that Allah has given him.

We, at Credence High School, celebrated the Environment Day on 13th June 2016.

We understand the pressing need in today’s time to make the children aware of the depleting condition of the environment.

We need to do more than just making posters and slogans.

We need to be the change we want to see.

Our children, by participating in various activities that enabled them to understand how they can contribute towards creating a better environment, started an initiative towards this change.

Grade 3, 4 and 5 students, collected various plastic bottles and made birdhouses, bird feeders, paper stand, pen stand etc. for the activity, ‘Re-Create It’.
Grade 6, 7 and 8 students, filled the bottles with soil, planted the saplings and watered them, for the activity, ‘Let’s Go Green’.

The main aim of this activity was to make our students understand the value of reusing and recycling waste things, and the value of new life. They also learnt that they can bring in the change they want to see and learn to be responsible towards their work.

Parents and families have the most direct and lasting impact on children's learning and development of social competence. When parents are involved, students achieve more, exhibit more positive attitudes and behavior, and feel more comfortable in new settings. As an educational institute, we understand the need to reach out to families in order to build the kind of relationships that engage them as active partners in their children's education and development.

With this philosophy in mind, we celebrated Family Fun day from May 30th – June 2nd 2016 at Credence High School.

It was a fun filled day that started with a painting session on the theme ‘Love for books’, Parents, and students poured in their creativity on canvass and spread the idea of importance of books in spreading joy in our lives. This was followed by group wise presentation by parents who assembled according to their child’s house and performed various acts like Dance, Role Play, Fashion Show, and Karaoke. Parents showcased their talents, creativity and conquered their stage fear to perform in front of their kids.

It was an extremely joyous day for both child as well parents, who got a unique chance to spend quality time with each other and strengthen the bond of the love they share.

Field Trips are the most-awaited events because of the fun they bring, along with the real life learning experiences. Keeping teaching beyond classroom in mind, students of Grade 6 to 8 were taken to visit Children’s City, Creek Park, Dubai on June 2, 2016. The field trip was a rich learning experience for our children.

Students had an opportunity to see two shows on ‘Frozen’ and ‘Energy Revolution’ where in they got a chance to see a spectacular new movie depicting a changing Earth and got an exposure on how rising temperature is changing Earth’s climate. In addition, they learnt ways that renewable energy technologies can work against the climate problem by reducing carbon emissions.

The most spectacular part of this tour was Planetarium, where students got to see different Constellations, Stars, Nebula (a cloud of gas or dust in space that can sometimes be seen at night). It was a thrilling experience, students enjoyed a lot, and it enriched their knowledge.
