Credence High School, Dubai,
celebrated the National Flag Day on its sprawling campus on Thursday, 3rd
November 2016. Reflecting the spirit of “Awesomeness Year” as envisaged by
KHDA, the Principal, along with the Dean of Studies hoisted the UAE Flag at
11.00 am to coincide with the nationwide hoisting of the Flag at the same time.
The occasion also coincides with the anniversary of President His Highness
Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s assumption to office as the leader of the
country.
The Principal was accompanied by the school’s
Head Boy and Head Girl as well as the youngest members of our school - the
Kindergarten children.
The students from KG1, KG2, grades
1,2,6,7 and 8 took part in the Human Flag formation in the school grounds while
students from grades 3, 4, and 5 took part in the hoisting ceremony organized
by KHDA at the Zabeel Park. The students were dressed in the colours of the UAE
Flag.
Speaking on the occasion, the
Principal, Mrs. Deepika Thakur Singh, spoke at length on the importance of the
four colours, Red, Green, White and Black namely, courage, hope, peace and
defeat of enemies respectively. She also spoke about the many opportunities that
UAE gives to its residents and citizens and espoused the feeling of pride for the
country, which has given so much to so many.
The ceremony concluded with the
rendition of the UAE National Anthem and the release of the red, black, white
and green balloons. The ceremony concluded with the vote of thanks.
