The Third Annual Sports Day, ‘Tarang – let our spirits fly’ was held for the students of Grade 1 to 8 in collaboration with the Indian Republic Day on 26 January 2017. The day was marked with great joy in discovering the inner talent of a child in the field of sports. “Spelling is important because it aids in reading. It helps cement the connection that is shared between sounds and letters.”

The inter- house final Spell- Bee competition for Grades 1 to 8 students was organized by the Department of English, in the school auditorium on 11 January 2017.

There were thirty-two students who qualified from the second round from Grades 1 to 8. This competition was one out of the numerous enjoyable competitions that give students a platform to learn spellings in different ways. Students participated with great enthusiasm and dueled through the toughest words to prove their mettle. The rounds of the Spell-Bee held the audience ‘spellbound’, with almost all of the 32 participants spelling each word correctly. Even the toughest words of the tie-breaker round were spelt with unflinching ease by the spelling wizards. It was a nerve-wracking task to reach to the two final contestants. Their effort and initiative was appreciated by one and all.

The rounds of the competition were as follows:

      First Round:      Written Round.

      Second Round: Oral Round.

Third Round:    Unscramble the word Round.

      Fourth Round:  Rapid Fire Round.

The competition made students aware of spellings, was a wonderful learning experience not only for the participants but also for their peers, and served to enrich the vocabulary bank of the students. Kudos to all the participants and thanks to Department of English to facilitate the smooth organization and execution of the event.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: Field trips link child’s classroom experience with the outside world. Students are able to step outside their imagined perception and acquire knowledge through their own interpretation. This improves their learning process and gives both the learner and educator valued long lasting practical experience.

We at Credence High School believe in education that is a blend of curriculum and co-curriculum, we always try to teach our children in practical ways than theoretical. To continue this learning process, Grade 1 children went for a field trip to Mushrif Park on 8 January 2017.

As our Grade 1 children are learning about different types of houses around the world, in the Mushrif park, which has an international village, our children explored 13 different models of Arabic, English, Chinese, Indo, Burma, Thai, and Japanese houses. They also got the opportunity to comprehend different types of materials used to build such houses. It was a hands on experience for them.

After, visiting to the houses we provided them healthy refreshments to boost their energies! Our children then enjoyed their snack time under the shady trees on the green field and they played in the play area. It was a fun filled and enriching experience for the students of Grade 1.

Benefits of choosing Indian schools :

            International Recognition

The Indian School education system is the 11th largest in the world, with more than 100 million students enrolled in thousands of colleges and universities.

A certificate or degree issued by the CBSE is universally acceptable. Indian CBSE curriculum is internationally recognized in more than 24 countries. The well-researched curriculum is at par with international standards and the certificates are equally accredited throughout the world. Credence high school being the most sought after and best Indian schools in Dubai, strives to create a generation full of productive, contributing, and fulfilled members of society, who aim to carve their own unique paths. Our students have been accepted by top universities around the globe.

            Ease to relocate

Another benefit of CBSE curriculum is its ease of relocation. Parents who have transferable jobs find it difficult to find schools for their kids mid session, with CBSE transferring child/ren mid-session becomes easier as all CBSE schools have a uniform syllabus and exam structure everywhere, so it does not matter if your ward is joining any time of the year, he or she can easily cope with the syllabus.

            Developing Holistic Individuals

Indian schools (CBSE curriculum) follows a cumulative approach to its syllabus, which means there is a continuity and link to previous topics of study. The advantage of this approach is that it makes remembering simple. At Credence we offer our students inclusive and holistic learning, hence students from Pre-KG to Grade 12 relate to what they had studied.

            Academically Recognized

CBSE Board is known for its emphasis on theoretical and practical knowledge, which helps students to gain a deeper understanding of various subjects. All the medicine and engineering competitive exams are set by the CBSE board and the syllabus is based on the NCERT books, from which the students study. CBSE students have a higher chance of succeeding in competitive exams like NEET, JEE or AIEEE IIT-JEE, PMT, NDA, and CDS

Credence High School is one of the best Indian schools in Dubai where we strive to create a happy environment to engender a perpetual love of learning among our students. Our students learn through the exploration of a well-structured yet dynamic CBSE curriculum.
