DUBAI FITNESS CHALLENGE IN CREDENCE HIGH SCHOOL

Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) - the citywide fitness initiative by Sheik Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council is at the high spirit. We in Credence High believe that improving physical health has positive effects on academic performance congruent to mental and emotional health. The structured month-long DFC program of the PE department aimed to create awareness and promote an active and healthy lifestyle for all. The DFC program in our school ensured that every member in Credence community from KG students to upper middle schoolers, support staff to leadership management team and parents community adhere to our mission of creating a happy and healthy school in Dubai.

The journey of the DFC program in our school started by attending workshops conducted by the KHDA, downloading and introducing the DFC mobile app, promoting DFC through radio zest and putting up DFC posters around the school, distributing printed out fitness calendar of suggested physical activities and challenges to do and upcoming events like fitness village visits, KHDA football match, yoga and Zumba sessions. We also encouraged every family in our school community to help us inculcate the value of fitness and health by writing their DFC goal together as a family supported by an informal discussion on its way forward. Furthermore, we also strengthened the opportunities for making a good connection with the KHDA team as we invited them for a school visit to have a friendly football match against our staff and parents community not to mention, the tactile learning experience we had from the visit to fitness villages - DMCC Park and Al Khawaneej underpins our purpose of the program.

A variety of exciting and sweat-producing fitness activities were designed and programmed not only for the students but for staff and management as well - Football, Yoga, Swimming, Basketball, Dodge ball, Badminton, Core and Strength  Exercises, Floor Exercises, Jumping Rope, Aquatic Activities, Zumba, Brisk Walking, Track Challenges, Gymnastics, Indian traditional game and Fitness Relay, and Obstacles are the examples. »The entire DFC program in our school set up made a real impact, especially to the students as they started talking about it, getting engaged and wonder on the next day activity. Their daily executive function has improved and they have become happier"- Nicart (PE- HOD)

                      Why choose Indian schools?

The Central Board of Secondary Education - popularly known as CBSE is an Indian curriculum board. Choosing the best CBSE schools has the added benefit of gaining greater knowledge in academic as well as extra-curricular activities.

A good education depends entirely on the person providing it. Many schools introduce new and innovative methods of study to be on par with international standards of education but do not have the requisite qualified staff.

Benefits of choosing Indian schools :

                      International Recognition

The Indian School education system is the 11th largest in the world, with more than 100 million students enrolled in thousands of colleges and universities.

A certificate or degree issued by the CBSE is universally acceptable. Indian CBSE curriculum is internationally recognized in more than 24 countries. The well-researched curriculum is at par with international standards and the certificates are equally accredited throughout the world. Credence high school being the most sought after and best Indian schools in Dubai, strives to create a generation full of productive, contributing, and fulfilled members of society, who aim to carve their own unique paths. Our students have been accepted by top universities around the globe.

                      Ease to relocate

Another benefit of CBSE curriculum is its ease of relocation. Parents who have transferable jobs find it difficult to find schools for their kids mid session, with CBSE transferring child/ren mid-session becomes easier as all CBSE schools have a uniform syllabus and exam structure everywhere, so it does not matter if your ward is joining any time of the year, he or she can easily cope with the syllabus.

                      Developing Holistic Individuals

Indian schools (CBSE curriculum) follows a cumulative approach to its syllabus, which means there is a continuity and link to previous topics of study. The advantage of this approach is that it makes remembering simple. At Credence we offer our students inclusive and holistic learning, hence students from Pre-KG to Grade 12 relate to what they had studied.

                      Academically Recognized

CBSE Board is known for its emphasis on theoretical and practical knowledge, which helps students to gain a deeper understanding of various subjects. All the medicine and engineering competitive exams are set by the CBSE board and the syllabus is based on the NCERT books, from which the students study. CBSE students have a higher chance of succeeding in competitive exams like NEET, JEE or AIEEE IIT-JEE, PMT, NDA, and CDS
