The teacher committee finalized the candidates for various posts based on the interviews, which then was followed by campaigning and manifesto speech by each candidate. The votes were casted through the google forms in the computer lab and the School Principal announced the results the following day.

Insight: The run up to the elections was an empirical learning journey for the students and teachers of grade 2-9 who were able to connect it to the community through experience. Many students have emerged as leaders and are keen to serve school and community over the academic year 2019-20.

Intent: Earth Day is an annual event created to celebrate the planet's environment and raise public awareness about pollution. The day, marked on April 22, is observed worldwide with rallies, conferences, outdoor activities and service projects. We at Credence strive to prepare our students to be equally responsible global citizens and here was yet another opportunity. Students across all the grades engaged in various activities and pledged to solve climate change, to end plastic pollution, to protect endangered species, and to broaden, educate, and activate the environmental movement across the globe.

Experience: The day began with educating the students on the daily radio assembly about the importance of ‘Earth Day’ and how it is vital for each one of us to contribute to it. Each and every member of the school pledged to stop the use of plastic straws this summer and help preserve the marine wildlife and the environment. The kindergarten students learnt about how recycle, reuse and refuse will help to curb the pollution around us. They created some very attractive ‘best out of waste’ items by recycled items. Primary and secondary students discussed the topic and involved in creative writing competition based on Earth Day. The students of Credence High School also participated in the EEG Public Speaking Competition on April 22, topic of discussion being ‘Food Waste Management – Achieving Zero Hunger’. Not only was this but a campaign also launched asking everyone to share their contribution by posting photo to:

Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/credencehighschool/,Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/credence_highschool/ ,Twitter: https://twitter.com/CredenceHigh - Using the hashtags: #CredenceNoPlasticStraws and #PlasticPollutes. Besides, the Social Science and Science department also launched a ‘Rethink Plastic Competition’: The idea of the competition is for students to apply their creative, innovative and logical thinking to develop a project or idea reusing or recycling plastic. It was an opportunity for students to show their creativity and understanding of sustainability by putting it to practical use. The project categories are: 1) A project to help ‘Collect’ & ‘Recycle’ plastic waste 2) A project to ‘Reuse’ plastic waste.

Insight: A weeklong awareness program was scheduled, across all subjects from grades 2-10, to help our children learn the immediate need to protect and save this beautiful planet. We urge to the Credence Community to contribute to making this beautiful world worth living for our future generations too.

The programme was anchored by Mohan Kapoor of the STAR T.V. fame.

Experience: Rules and regulations of the quiz were explained at the beginning. Children took a written quiz of 30 questions orated by the Quiz Master Mohan Kapoor. Intent: Class assemblies are an essential part of the school’s curriculum, conducted with the intent of imbibing the moral values in the children. Besides, the students also get an opportunity to put up themselves with confidence on the stage and perform in front of fellow students. The morning assembly develops a feeling of affiliation and unity among students and acquaints them with the school programme more clearly. The first class assembly for the new academic session was put up by the senior students of grade 8 and 9 on Wednesday, 10th April 2019 on the theme ‘Etiquette’ so as to set an example of good conduct for the fellow students.

Experience: At the onset, was the recitation of the ‘Holy Quran’ followed by the ‘Thought for the day’ and ‘News’ that which is the core culture of the school assembly. Thereby, a short skit by the children conveyed the importance of magic words like ‘Please, ‘Thank You’ and many more. The leader’s talk by the Head of English Department – Mr. Shyam was a brief training on good social behaviour desired in public life. Concluding the assembly was the school song followed by the U.A.E. and Indian national anthems.

Insight: It indeed was a wonderful way of beginning the assembly routine at school.

Parents who have transferable jobs find it difficult to find schools for their kids mid session, with CBSE transferring child/ren mid-session becomes easier as all CBSE schools have a uniform syllabus and exam structure everywhere, so it does not matter if your ward is joining any time of the year, he or she can easily cope with the syllabus.

                                Developing Holistic Individuals

Indian schools (CBSE curriculum) follows a cumulative approach to its syllabus, which means there is a continuity and link to previous topics of study. At Credence we offer our students inclusive and holistic learning, hence students from Pre-KG to Grade 12 relate to what they had studied.

                                Academically Recognized
