We opened
our doors in the beginning of this month to welcome children for the academic
year 2017 -18. To make the school journey joyful for both the children and the
parents an orientation programme was organized in children’s respective
classrooms. The programme was specifically designed for each class providing
helpful information about student curriculum, activities and life at Credence.
KG II
The
orientation began with the teacher speaking on the topic ‘Fun at Kindergarten’,
teacher and child relationship and how children begin the day at Kindergarten.
Parents were told about who is going to cater to their children, personal
grooming and hygiene, parent and school communication, medical care,
curriculum, activities the child will be involved in, assessment. Teachers assured
the parents to do their very best and mold the children into independent
individuals while also asking for parental support at every step.
GRADE 1 – 8
The
orientation programme was organized categorically. Teachers emphasized on
different learning terminologies that they planned for children in each term so
they can learn and write better. Teachers assured the parents that they will
encourage children to speak up and communicate, student feedback is given
utmost importance they said. Parents were guaranteed that their children will
be taught to be technically sound, to do better at assessments. Teachers
concluded by saying that communication is the key for a successful academic
year and parents should communicate to teachers about their concerns, queries,
suggestions so both can together help the child grow.
Orientation
is a key beginning to a good parent school partnership. This programme offered
a glimpse of Credence High School that plays a defining role in the life of a
child. It was a guide to parents in the next step of the educational journey of
their children.
