Science is a way of thinking
much more than it is a body of knowledge and Experiments are an awesome part of
Science, which allows students of all ages to engage in fun and exciting hands
on learning experiences that they are sure to enjoy and therefore, We at
Credence organized a ‘Credence Science Fair : Where curiosity ignites minds’ and
carried forward the legacy yet again to stir curiosity, enthusiasm and
innovative skills and to inculcate lifelong fascination for Science among the students.
With the key objective of bringing out the
hidden talents of students and with a focus on creating more awareness of
science, technology and engineering, the Science Exhibition was organized at
Credence High School on Wednesday, 20th December 2017 and our little
Credenians were very excited to display their innovative talents.
The programme was judged by Mr.
Sourjya (HOD – Science department), Ms. Juliet (Science teacher), Ms. Manju (Science
Teacher), accompanied by Ms. Deepika Singh Thapar (Principal), Mr. Shivender
Singh (Vice Principal).
With the endeavor to promote
scientific attitude among budding young students, this exhibition was one of
its kind. The exhibits by different classes are as follows:
KG

the each animal and what they produce.
KG
1B
formed 5 groups and presented various experiments such as Balloon Inflator;
Rainbow experiment with skittles, Lave Experiment (with Baking soda, Water,
Food colour & Vinegar); walking water and Dancing Raisins. The judges were
truly amazed at the complexity of the project they prepared.
KG
1C
formed 3 groups to present various kinds of Transport. They presented different
forms of Transport (water, air, land) with beautiful crafted card board
presentations and explained the various forms of transport that is available.
KG

water, Blue/Red sky, Colour mixing with ice.
KG
2B
explored colours with skittles, showed how the magic eraser works, showed us
the Coffee filter activity and Volcanic eruption.
KG

germination takes place, and experimented dancing raisins while experimenting
Celery with food colour. They also discussed how important air, water and
sunlight is necessary for a plant.
KG

discussed and presented different parts of the body. It was a team work with
each student mentioning the important parts of the body and its functions which
included brain, Lungs, Stomach and Heart.
KG

Layers of the earth, the other group showcased Day & Night. The 3rd
group showed how Earthquakes occur while the 4th group spoke about
Soil Erosion.
KG
2F
experimented with Air and presented experiments on the properties of Air. They
showcased experiments proving air has weight, occupies space and exerts
pressure. Hot air expands and cold air contracts and Air is needed for burning.
KG
2G
explored with Water and Ice to show if the egg floats or sinks in salt water,
Can a string pick up a piece of ice? Which ice cube will give the rainbow water
fast? Will pepper run away while liquid soap is put in it?

colors with skittles, experiment on walking water, how air is necessary for a
candle to keep burning, and experimented on the density of water.
G
1B welcomed
the judges to the world of Energy. Their experiments included Hydraulic
Elevator and an experiment showing how Hydroelectricity is produced and how is
it helpful, Solar Energy and preparation of the Burglar Alarm.
G
