“You cannot make progress without making decisions” - Jim Rohn

Understanding the need to equip our students with right decision making skills, we at Credence High school organized an Orientation programme for our current Grade 10 students about the varied subject options available in Grade 11 for the next academic year 2022-23.  The guest speaker, Mr.Kunal of Cogito Hub shared his personal experiences about making the right choices quoting the famous poem of Robert Frost's , “The road not taken”. He emphasized the importance of understanding the diverse career options available around the globe and how understanding one’s own strengths and weaknesses help in the decision making process. Students and parents actively participated in the question and answer session, raising various queries related to the career options and subject selection.

I had an amazing experience at Expo 2020. On 8 February 2022, I visited Expo 2020 Dubai for a dance performance that I had practiced for more than 4 months. This dance was a nature related dance, where we had to showcase (through face expressions) how the animals and trees were destroyed and our duties to rescue/save them. it was one of the most unforgettable moment of my life. -   Shreya (7B)

When I watched the Expo 2020 opening ceremony, I never even thought that I would have the chance to perform on that stage. Before this, I had almost no experience of going up to a stage and performing. For me, performing on the Al Wasl stage was a big jump. It was exhilarating to perform in front of the entire world at Expo; that too on its main stage. I was happy that I had the opportunity to perform on a stage on which world-famous artists had performed. I also had the opportunity to meet new people that I would not have met otherwise. The Expo volunteers and organizers were very friendly and supportive. - Pranav (7B)

An Expo is a global event that aims at educating the public, sharing innovation, promoting progress, and fostering cooperation. The Expo happens every 5 years. Our journey to the Expo started when we were chosen to sing for the Expo,  and  our other friends were selected for the dance performance. The ride on the Expo Explorer was possibly the best part. We found seats right in front of our friends. The whole ride to Al Wasl plaza we made jokes, sang songs (again, for practice).  - Saisha (7B)

As the event started getting closer, tension started arising among the participants. Fortunately, out of the blue, a cheerful and lively Arab volunteer (I am unable to recall his name) popped out from behind us and immediately started to ease the tension and make many of us laugh. After a short snack break, we were immediately on our way to the stage, and due to the reason that it was way too far to walk to, small Hydrogen-powered trains were at our service. This is one of the other unforgettable moments in the entire trip. - Nihal
